TREAT Fundraiser Friday, Sept. 12 Amarillo—The annual TREAT fundraiser to benefit the Bishop DeFalco Retreat Center is set for Friday, Sept. 12 from 6:00pm to 9:30pm in the Retreat Center courtyard at 2100 North Spring.
“We invite everyone to join us for a wonderful evening of fellowship and fun in our beautiful courtyard,” said Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ Sister Elizabeth Ann Dockery, executive director at the BDRC.
“Embark with us on a culinary journey with three main dishes: • Grilled Sirloin Medallions with a Gorgonzola bread crumb topping served with seasoned asparagus and peppery radishes and drizzled with a maple sauce. • Sherry Chicken Cutlets: Roasted chicken in a creamy parmesan sherry sauce with mushrooms & leeks, served with roasted root vegetables. • Filet of Salmon with a lemon beurre blanc served with crisp fresh jicama slaw." There will also be an action station with bananas foster and cherries jubilee.
The TREAT fundraiser serves as the major fundraiser for the retreat center. There will also be beverages, live and silent auctions, a Calcutta board and entertainment from Patrick Swindell and Esquire Jazz.
Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased on the retreat center’s website, bdrc.org/treat. Sponsors are available for the fundraiser at four levels. The sponsorship levels are: • Seraphim, at $10,000; • Cherubim, at $5,000; • Archangel, at $2,500; and, • Angel, at $1,000.
